Guest Lecture by Awadhesh Mishra

awadhesh-mishraDr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s PCMRD was privileged to host a lecture of one of its own alumni Mr. Awadhesh Mishra on 11th January 2017.

Mr. Mishra currently holds the position of Vice President in Deutsche Bank. He has worked in several organizations like RBS Markets and International Banking, Dell Services and Xansa. Mr. Mishra had a very impromptu and open discussion with students mainly focusing on what does the industry expect and the various do’s and don’ts for the same.

He shared with the students that he is nostalgic visiting his Alma matter and giving a lecture in the same room where he had a memorable time with his faculties and friends.

Introduction to Air Force and Leadership Traits

Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation’s PCMRD was privileged to host Air Marshal A.P. Garud for an enlightening and an informative session on 10
th January, 2017. The topic of the session was “Introduction to Air Force and Leadership Traits”.

Air Marshal Arun Puroshattam Garud is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasala and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He is a qualified flying Instructor with a meritorious Category-A2. Air Marshal A.P. Garud’s senior level appointments include Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration at Headquarters Eastern Air Command Shillong, Inspector General (Air) Border Security Force and Director General (Inspection & Safety) at Air Headquarters. He is a recipient of some dignified awards including Vayu Sena Medal (1996), Param Vishishta Seva Medal (2015) and many more.

felicitation-air-marshallAir Marshal A.P. Garud spoke on the way Indian Air Force functions. He explained the various challenges faced by Indian Air Force personnel. He also highlighted various leadership traits and how does an effective leader works.

Air Marshal A.P. Garud shared his personal journey. He also shared his personal and his team’s peace time achievements which were commendable. Mr. Garud’s slides were very informative and made the session very interesting. The students asked various questions relating to his air force background and the current situation in India. He highly appreciated PCMRD student’s response and the attentive behavior.

Industrial Scene and how to succeed

Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation conducted its first lecture in the New Year with a promising and an experience personality. The guest for the lecture lecture-vishwas-kaleconducted on 6th January 2017 was Mr. Vishwas Kale who is the Managing Director oh his own company called Vishwesh Instruments Pvt Ltd.

Mr. Kale is a recipient of many awards and certifications from Industrial chambers and recognized bodies. He is also contributing his share of social work to NGO’s. Mr. Kale mentors students in Pune by giving lectures on numerous topics.

The topic of the lecture given at PCMRD campus was “Industrial Scene and how to succeed”. The presentation had a couple of icebreaking slides and some brainstorming games which helped the students to build a rapport with the presenter. Mr. Kale focused on all the dos and don’ts for a fresh management graduate before entering into any industry. The session was concluded with a question and answer round.

Power of 1st Impression

A guest lecture was organized for the students of MBA Ist year. It was held on 6th December 2016.

The speaker for this session was Mr. Surajit Das.

Mr Das has a versatile personality having experience from diverse fields. Mr. Das is a motivational speaker, corporate trainer, an image consultant, an actor and an anchor as well.

He has worked with various corporate giants in the sales management areas. The companies and the designations he carried are: Senior Sales Manager with Xerox Corporation, General Manager- BPL, Sales Country Head- Motorola, and General Manager- Tata Tele Services.

He highlighted on how to create a first impression and how to maintain the impact of the same. He had an interactive session with the students where the students were given an exercise to note down various personality aspects of the opposite person they would like to meet and interact. The session made the students think and discuss amongst themselves which created a team work environment and the session became more effective.

The session was concluded with Mr. Das encouraging the students to be presentable no matter which the place is. He also asked them to be a law abiding citizen and a sincere student.
