Dr. Ashok Vikhe Patil
Dr. Ashok Patil , is the first Indian to become a President of International Association of agricultural Medicine and Rural Health (IAAMRH).
Before being elected as President, he has served the Association in various capacities.
Dr. Ashok Patil along with Magsaysay Award Winner Padmshree Dr.Rajanikant Arole founded the Indian Chapter of the Association in 1988, under the auspices of Pravara Medical Trust, Loni. (Maharashtra state, India).
Under the leadership of Dr. Patil, the Indian chapter has organized an Asian Congress in “Innovative Approaches to Rural Health” in January 1993 and an “International Conference on Woman and Child – Health, Empowerment, Rights and Development, in November 1998, in Loni, which were well attended by representatives from all over the world.
Dr. Patil has recently contributed to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s book “Reignited: Scientific Pathways to a Brighter Future”, which inspires children to choose the right career path.
Mrs. Nandini Charles

Mrs. Nandini Charles’ journey as an educator started in 1987 with Bishop’s English School, in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. Many years of teaching, training and administration in rural and urban India, helped her learn the ropes of education sector. She has several accolades to her credit, for her contribution to the field of training and education.
In 2002, she joined Vikhe Patil Memorial School as the Principal. Her manifold endeavours and leadership over the years, together with management support and parents’ co-operation has helped VPMS become one of the most sought after schools in the city.
In a career spanning three decades, Mrs. Charles has always encouraged her students to give equal emphasis to academics and co-curricular activities. She firmly believes that it is important for a child to explore different areas in order to harness his/her potential.
As the Director of Schools’ Programme, Mrs. Charles continues to take new strides in creating noble minds and facilitating students to achieve their true potential in sync with the school motto “Making Life Meaningful”. She will now be sharing her experiences to develop and nurture the other upcoming and existing educational units under The Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation Banner, so that they too may create and facilitate similar learning experiences for all students under our portal. In addition, her role also involves overseeing the academic and administrative arms at VPMS Pune.
Mrs. Mrinalini Bhosale
The first word that comes to the fore, when one thinks of Ms. Mrinalini is ‘Resolute’. Be it academics or administration or policy of the welfare of staff & students, her stance has always been resolute. It is only her resolve to stay unflinchingly determined and uncompromised, towards the quality of education and services that her school represents, which has endeared her to everyone who’s lives she has touched.
Coming from a humble background, she has completed her schooling from the prestigious European boarding school, Kimmins High School in Panchgani in the district of Satara. She began her teaching career at in the year 1993 and has been an English teacher ever since. Her teaching experience ranges from SSC, ICSE and CBSE schools. She holds a Post Graduate degree in English Literature and a Degree of Education in English and Social Studies. Her hobbies include Music, Drama, Theatre and Play writing.
She joined the VPMS family, as the Principal of the Lohegaon school, in the year 2009, when she was tasked to bring up a world class school out of a rocky hill scattered with thorny scrub. Today, VPMS Lohegaon, holds its own in an illustrious family of educational institutions, with quite a few initiatives being applauded by the Management, as well as school parents and the staff. Beginning from meticulous discussions on the architectural drawings to the construction, to putting systems in place, recruiting staff, making policy decisions and abiding and ensuring a leaner and more efficient organization, Ms Mrinalini has handled every aspect of her school till she was transferred to VPMS Pune this June. Her heartwarming smile and compassionate approach to her work has endeared her to all those she has worked with.
In VPMS Pune too, she intends on enhancing the structured growth pattern, put in place by Nandini Ma’am, alongwith bringing in global best practices to a locally implementable form. This would be built on a strong foundation of the school motto “Making Life Meaningful”, in order to set new benchmarks on the school education horizon.
