Roll Ball Association District Level Tournament
Roll Ball Association State Level Tournament was held at Satara District on 1st and 2nd Oct. 2017 Mast. Ashish Fargade and Mast. Shudhanshu Ghorpade of our school had participated in Nagar District Association and won silver medal. They brought a laurel to the school.
Hand Ball Z.P. Division Level :
On 3rdand 4th October 2017 Division level Hand Ball Tournament was held at Solapur. Rutuja Anarthe ( captain ), Shejal Dongare ,Shrushti Argade ,Shrushti Mote ,Shruti kharde ,Vasudha Karkute ,Asmita Wani ,Vaishanavi Pawade were a part of the under 14 girls team of Little Flower School . They played with great energy and team spirit and secured second position. Three girls from the same team are selected for the State Level Tournament
Chess Association National level Tournament:
Ruturaj Kharde of LFS participated in the Chess Association National Level Tournament held in U.P. on 7th and 8th October 2017. He achieved silver medal and got selected for the Inter National level Chess Championship. The school is proud of his achievement The Management and the school Principal greeted and extended best wishes for his bright future.
Cluster IX CBSE Foot Ball Tournament:
Cluster IX CBSE Foot Ball Tournament was held at G. G. International School, Pune on 12th and 13th October, 2017. The participants like Shreeraj Kharde – captain, Vedant Gadhave , Ruturaj Desai, Manoj Parkhe ,Yurraj Kharde ,Om Bajare ,Sushant Gaikwad ,Abhishek Paik ,Saurabh Gholap, Aniket Kadlag and Viraj Vikhe participated with great interest and enthusiasm.
Class: Pre-primary Section
To develop the artistic skills of the students, paper crumbling activity was conducted for the students of Pre-primary. The Incharge teachers provided pages of different sketches like butter flies , flowers, fish etc. and fixed the crumbled papers on them. Each student participated with great interest and tried to show their artistic skills. This activity enabled them to develop their fine motor skill, creative and thinking skill. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria like creativity accuracy and over all presentation
Class I Daisy /Rose Mask Making Activity
Mask MakingActivity was conducted on 31stOct 2017 for class I. Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to show their skill in mask making. Children came up with amazing artwork and participated earnestly in the Activity. They prepared plastic plate masks, eye masks, masks of animal faces like tiger, lion elephant etc. very beautifully by using material like colour paper,sketch pens,colour pencils and gum. It inspired children to think and work creatively and promoted artistic excellence. Each of the masks prepared by the children was a treat to the eye. Students enjoyed this activity a lot.
Class II Daisy /Rose :Visit to Bakery
To know the different bakery items and their nutritious values, a visit to bakery was organized for the students of class II Daisy and Rose on 31st Oct, 2017. Students were carried to the BhushanBanglore Bakery in Loni . The owner of the bakery showed them different bakery items.He explained them the process of their preparation and the ingredients used. He also told them about the nutritive values of the items. Students asked variousdoubts curiously regarding tools and equipment used. He solved their doubts and offered delicious cakes to them. He showed them the beautiful arrangement of the goods to attract the customers. This visit helped them to understand the process and nutritious value of bakery items.
Class III Daisy /Rose :Poster Making – Save trees
‘Poster Making Activity’ was conducted on 31st Oct 2017 for the students of Class III Daisy and Rose. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to showcase their skills. The children expressed their views and thoughts about saving trees by writing slogans and quotes on the posters. It inspiredthem to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence. The posters created by the students were really outstanding. The winners were judged on the basis of the criteria as creativity, message, decoration and overall presentation. It was really remarkable and enjoyable activity.
CLASS IV : Paper Bag Making Activity
To enable the students understand the harm caused to nature due to the use of plastic bags and promote the use of eco- friendly bags ‘Paper Bag Making Activity’ was conducted for the students of class IV Daisy and Rose. Students brought required material like bindi, beads, gum, scissor, colourful paper etc. Each student participated with full of enthusiasm and used his/ her innovative ideas to prepare paper bags. The creations of some students were really outstanding and amazing. They prepared very beautiful and decorative bags of different shapes as semi –circle, square, rectangle etc. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria as creative skills, thinking skills, artistic skill and over all presentation.
Class: V :Poster Making Activity
To make the students aware about hazardous effects of smoking and develop creative skill, ‘Poster Making Activity’ was conducted based on anti-smoking. The In charge teacher guided the students to prepare posters .They used their innovative ideas and wrote slogans, poems, quotes very beautifully and tried to show how smoking is dangerous to health. Each student participated with great interest. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria as creativity, messages, decoration and overall presentation.
Class VI : ‘An Inter-House Painting Activity
‘An Inter-House Painting Activity’ was conducted on 31st October 2017 for the students of class VI. In Charge teacher divided the students into four groups as per their houses and told to select any one of the topics as beauty of nature, save girl child, global warming, water crisis and other social issues. The students exhibited their skills in choosing the theme, filling and mixing different colours. The creation of the students were really outstanding. This activity helped the students to develop their thinking, creative and artistic skills. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria as design, appropriateness of colours used, perspective and overall impression of the art work.
Class: VII : ‘Invitation Card Making Activity’
‘Invitation Card Making Activity’ was conducted for the students of Class VII on 31st October, 2017.The students were asked to bring the required material as card sheet, sketch pens, glitter pens and other decoration material. The teacher guided the students for making creative and informative invitation cards. Each student participated with great interest and prepared beautiful invitation card for the 17th Annual Day celebration. The winners were declared on the basis of the criteria as design, content, style, aesthetic skills and overall presentation.
Class VIII :Best out of Waste Activity
On 31st October,2017 Best out of Waste Activity was conducted for the students of class VIII. As per the instructionsstudents brought the required material as papers,bottles, CDs threads, balloons, plastic, spoons, newspapers boxes etc. The students participated with great interest and prepared chalk boxes, flower vase, pen stand, paper weight etc. This activity helped the students to develop their thinking, aesthetic, and creative skills.
Class : IX Community Health Programme–
‘Balance Diet Activity’
To make the students aware about importance of balance diet, ‘Chart Preparation Activity’ was conducted on the same topic for the students of class IX on 31st October,2017.The students brought the required material as per the guidance. The In charge teacher divided the students into four groups and guided them to prepare the charts. Students drew beautiful pictures of different food items, prepared pie charts, mentioning the food items and their nutritive values. Each group wrote and explained the importance of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and vitamins for health in a stipulated time of five minutes. The winners of the activity were judged on the basis of the criteria as content, design, explanation, participation and overall presentation.
Class X : Cleanliness Campaign Activity
Cleanliness Campaign Activity was conducted for the students of class X on October monthend. The in charge teacher divided the students into 4 groups and declared the areas tobe cleaned by each. Accordingly they, cleaned the front and back and right and left portion of the school building. The students also cleaned the sports ground to be utilised for the School’s Annual Day. They collected stones of bigger size and arranged them properly, removed the weeds and collected the paper bits and carried them to the garbageheap. They did the activity with great enthusiasm. It enhanced in them the values of unity and cleanliness. They felt proud of the work done and the clean and beautiful school.
Visit to Loni Post Office
On 6th October our pre-primary section gave a visit to the Loni Post Office. The Office staff welcomed the tiny tots and their class teachers. The postman introduced himself to the students and explained them his role in the society. He also gave the details about the work of the post office. The students were shown letters, letter box, postcards, envelopes, stamps, money orders and other documents. Further he explained how letters are collected, segregated, and stamped. After that, the children posted their envelopes containing Diwali greeting cards prepared by them for their friends, parents and relatives. This visit was fruitful as it enabled the children gain good deal of information about the post office and its working. It also enabled them to enhance healthy social relations.
Visit to ZP School and Anganwadi in Slum Area.
[Pre-primary Section ]
On 13th Oct. 2017 Little Flower School had organized a visit to ZP school and anganwadi in the slum area of Loni for its preprimary section. As informed the students collected their old clothes, toys, woolen clothes and sweets in the school to donate to the students of Anganwadi. On visiting the place, they distributed the things brought by them very enthusiastically and gave a message to celebrate Diwali without crackers. They returned to school with a good experience and sweet memory. The objective in organizing this visit was to inculcate among them the values like helpfulness and kindness towards the students from poor background and the downtrodden section of the society.
Eco Friendly Diwali Celebration.
Little Flower School Loni had organized rally based on ‘Eco Friendly Diwali’ on 13th Oct 2017. All the students from class I to X participated with great interested and prepared beautiful greeting cards on eco friendly Diwali. Students visited different places in Loni and distributed greeting cards with beautiful messages on the same topic. People in Loni vicinity admire the students and school for making the people aware about pollution made by fire crackers. The students enjoyed the rally too much and decided not to burn fire crackers to save our environment
