A special assembly was conducted on 21st February 21, 2018 to celebrate International Mother Language Day and Shiv Jayanti was on 19th February 2018.

International Mother Language Day has been observed every year since 2000 on 21st February to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible heritage. To celebrate the multilingual heritage of India students of Std 1, 2and 3 greeted the audience in different Indian languages. Followed by this the students of Std 1, 2 and 3 also presented an enactment on the song by Usha Utthup ‘We’re Just Like You’.

The birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire and one of the greatest kings was also celebrated in the assembly. Atharva Garud from Std 9B read out information about Shivaji Maharaj. This was followed by a song ‘Jay Jay Maharashtra Maaza’ presented by students of Stds 7, 8 and 9.
