Field trips serve one vital function as far as education is concerned. Field trips link the classroom experience with the outside world in doing so, they not only improve learning, but also give both the learner and the educator valued practical experience. On 30th July 2018 the students of grade 6 and 7 got an unforgettable opportunity to visit Muktangan. They were accompanied by Mrs Remmya Parthasarathy, Mrs Seema Tiwari, Mrs Deepa Pillai, Mrs Vinaya Pol, Mr Prakash Poojary and Mr Deepak Deokar. This particular trip visioned at improving the knowledge base grounded in the classroom concerning the various streams of science.
During this event, the students encountered several wonderful spectacles in six laboratories. The students visited Biology Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Math Lab, Electronics Lab and the Earth Lab. The students witnessed many physics experiments in the hands –on experience. The facilitator introduced the students to many concepts of physics. The students visited Biology Lab to visualize many vertebrates and invertebrates. The Chemistry Lab welcomed them with blue and red acidic and basic colours. The Electronics Lab jingled with the bell of good and bad conductors of electricity. The Earth Lab had all the formations of the earth to be seen closely.
The quality of learning that students acquire and the degree of experience that students had from this educational trip was greatly seen in the enthusiasm and zeal of the students.
This field trip incorporated social interaction and enrichment of previously discussed or presented topics in a manner such that the knowledge and skills of the students were further enhanced.
